This #GoodNewsFriday we say well done to Tudor Bank Nursing Home on winning a Care Home of the Year award at the National Care Awards.
Tudor Bank Nursing Home in Southport, which is part of the
We Care Group, were named ‘Care Home of the Year’ at the National Care Awards.
The prestigious awards were held in London on Friday 24 November 2023. The team were absolutely delighted to be announced as the winner, against tough competition from homes across the UK.
Joshy Abraham, Manager at Tudor Bank Care Home and Bernie Suresparan, Chief Executive Officer at We Care Group were delighted to be presented with the Award by TV Presenter Kate Garraway.
Tudor Bank Nursing Home, which is rated ‘Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission, prides itself on its close ‘homelike atmosphere’.
It strives to promote independence and give residents a sense of purpose, motivation as well as value and worth, so residents are encouraged and promoted to ‘do things for themselves’ rather than have things ‘done for them’.
The team says there's a great work ethos and team spirit within the home, with everyone working to ensure that the challenges that residents face through their dementia or mental health are not a barrier to them living life to the full and the home works hard to create lasting memories, with lots of laughter and smiles.
