Child and family ASYE annual report 2023-24

Every year we produce a report for the Department for Education about the child and family ASYE. The most recent annual report and is now available to download from our website. The report covers ASYE activity undertaken during April 2023-March 2024. The report draws on evidence from quality assurance meetings, 360-degree evaluation tool data, portal data, action learning sets and feedback from national forums and events.

Key themes include a continued focus on providing forums for newly qualified social workers (NQSWs), assessors, the Group for Ethnic Minority Social Workers (GEMS), training for new ASYE co-ordinators, and the formation of the national quality assurance panel. The report also explores equity in the ASYE, workload, wellbeing and supervisory support.
