ԭζÊÓƵ has launched a two-month spotlight focused on providing support for leaders at all levels

Our will include resources, information, and ideas to support leaders across social care, while exploring what it means to be a leader. This campaign is tailored not only for managers but also deputy managers, team leaders, senior care workers, and people who are a leading force in their team in other ways - such as being digital or wellbeing champions.

There will also be support provided for new and aspiring managers. highlights the importance of supporting leaders of the future to secure the sustainability of the future workforce as the demand for social care grows.

The campaign will run across our website, social media, and other communications channels with blogs and articles sharing expert insight and real-life case studies, as well as sign-posting to further resources, projects, and other support.

The campaign will run alongside Black History Month in October, which we’ll be supporting internally and externally. In line with this the ‘Developing leaders at all levels’ campaign will have a key focus on how leaders can create a positive and inclusive workplace for all; the obstacles that people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds may face in their leadership journey, and support available – including our successful which is now open for applications for 2022. This programme covers a range of learning to support Black, Asian and minority ethnic leaders to take the next step in their career.

I’m looking forward to seeing this campaign develop over the next two months.

A leader can be many things and this campaign will really probe what it means to be a leader, to deliver good leadership, and impact your team in a positive way; perhaps encouraging people to reconsider their definition of leadership and how this applies to them.

ԭζÊÓƵ has a vast range of support and resources available for leaders in social care and we’re pleased to have an opportunity to highlight this support, as well as hearing from others across the sector about how they lead their teams.

It’s fitting that this campaign falls at the same time as Black History Month. We know there’s a disparity between the number of people from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds working in social care and those in leadership roles. As part of our communications through Black History Month we’ll be discussing this disparity and support available to help tackle this issue.
