South Fylde domiciliary care provider, Clifton Homecare were delighted to win ‘Employer of the year’ at this year’s Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs).

Run by the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, the BIBAs are Lancashire’s longest running business awards and receive thousands of entries each year to each of its 21 categories.

Clifton Homecare were thrilled to be shortlisted as finalists in four of the BIBAs categories and winning the 'Employer of the year' category was a real boost to the team given the national challenges being faced with recruitment and retention in the social care sector currently.

The company, who are rated as 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission, have been recognised as 'Employer of the year' for their exceptional commitment to their employees and their dedication to providing outstanding care. Their wealth of experience in the industry has enabled them to create a supportive and nurturing work environment that allows their caregivers to thrive.

We are thrilled to be crowned Employer of the Year at the BIBAs! We鈥檝e worked incredibly hard to develop an inclusive, honest and empowered culture and recent feedback from our team and clients suggests we have done this. We try to go above and beyond to ensure our employees feel listened to and valued and encourage them to take any opportunities they can to learn and expand their knowledge and qualification portfolio.

Since the BIBAs awards ceremony, the team has also been presented with Adult Social Care’s Chief Nurse Team award by Deborah Sturdy. The team were thrilled to be recognised for the outstanding contribution that they have on the lives of the people they care for.

Their Registered Manager, Margaret Brady, was awarded the Department of Health and Social Care’s Silver Award for performance, going above and beyond expectations of the everyday role of social care workers.

To top off their collection of awards, Clifton Homecare received the “Active workplace” award at the recent Fylde Active Community Awards, run by Fylde Council. In celebration of clubs and organisations that go above and beyond in sports and activity in the community, they were thrilled to be honoured in such a way.
